And that morning we had Refection, but first Breakfast ( we still had some ceral selection avalable)
And then it was on to Flag break, from which the whole subcamp then went to the main arena for Reflection, which was/is described in the camp handbook as follows:
"Reflection: Don't you just love those lazy Sundays after a busy week or more, where you take your time and look back on the experiences you have had so far? Where you think about the things and the people that really matter in your life? Whynot do all that together during REflection on Sunday 4th August from 10:00 to 11:00 hrs"
A few bits from REfelction, the first video should be from the start, second heads shoulders knees and toes and then the SAnd artis, third another short story form the Sand artist
if the strt times dont work, reflection starts at 13 minutes in
Video 2 heads shoulders knees and toes 30 minutes in
Second sand artist story from 32 minutes 30 seconds
youtube refelction start
Reflection - Heads Shoulders knees and toes ( in Dutch!) then a story from the Sand Artist
After Reflection it was the Haarlem Jamborette open house, a chance for some of the locals to visit the site, and in some cases parents to come along as well, Each group had the opportunity to make something, or have a stand - preferably something linked to their location/nationality, As we were camped with some Scouts from Eccleshall in North Staffordshire, we made some Oat cakes ( from staffordshire) served with some Marmite ( from Burton -upon-trent)
Another mini Task we had was to take the Beaver mascot, called Banjo around the camp- where he visited a few other Scouts , first off was this - Banjo was worried
Fortunatly at the Haarlem Jamborette there was a full on Hospital Tent, with treatment rooms etc, and a small hospital style ward with beds
After a while Banjo Escaped and was picked up by Team Security...
Before going to Egypt
And a few other places
After open house, it was soon time to start the evening meal, inside we had a few scouts helping, outside the rest were helping the food prep
And late afternoon, there was a Rugby competition, which consisted of France vs Ireland and Australia. they Said it was rugby, but some of the Scouts begged to differ ( wisely our Scouts kept out of it) see video below
The next day would see us on our final Trip off site - to a Theme park, Walibi world
