End of Day 12 report from Wednesday 10th of August

!2 days, from flying out, to returning back to the UK - over so fast.
anyways this is what happened on our last day at Spaarnwoude, on the Site of the Haarlem Jamborette.

Following the Closing ceremony the Scouts were all back at the camp at just gone midnight, and within minutes they were all quite, and in their tents.
The Next morning started as most of the previous mornings, with a trip to the subcamp food distribution tent to collect our food for Breakfast and lunch, and it was sunny - not only that but the puddle that turned into a lake ( which flooded our area ) was showing positive signs of drying up

So after Breakfast it was all go, the tents had to be down, and in Tor-Ingers van, and the Scouts had a short amount of time to say goodbye to our Norwegian Freinds, and share a few e-mail addresses/facebook contacts and so on

And then it was time to start dismantling the table, this came down easily ( and safely!) and we retrned to poles back to the storage area

At the Same time the tents had to be down, as well, and then that was it, everything away, and time to say Goodbye to our Norwegian friends, from Stavanger, Madla.

Soon after that it was also time for Melbourne and Eccleshall Scouts to go our separate ways, We ( Melbourne ) had an earlier flight than Eccleshall, so Melbourne had a few more hours on site ( see photos in earlier posts )
Bye bye Eccleshall.

So from then we had some time to kill, Melbourne Scouts spent most of the rest of the morning crashed out lying by their kit bags, and so far so good, as it stayed dry.
After we had Lunch, i took the Scouts for a walk round what was left of the camp site, and on our travels round, up by the main arena we helped the campsite volunteers to remove some Fencing panels,

When we returned to what was our campsite, the weather had started to turn, so it was a quick move to the former Club re-charge tent, (which was being set out for a final party for the volunteer staff remaining on site) and as soon as we arrived the heavens opened and it began to  pour.
After an hour it was then time to leave get on the bus, and form their the airport and home ( see posts below)

So What About Eccleshall, who left earlier..
Helen one of the leaders said this
"
On the last day we got into Amsterdam - left our luggage in the lockers in the station then went into town - did a canal cruise for 1 hour (most of the Scouts went to sleep on there!) Then we went shopping at the same place as we did on our trip in the week. Then went back to the airport on a train (nightmare getting kit on and off!! Train nearly went with us still on board cus we couldnt fit through the doors and down the stairs!) Delayed until 11.20pm - finally arrived home in Eccy at 1.30am "

Thats it for today, more stuff tommorow - ive still got some video from the camp to upload to youtube, as well as some more youtube videos - some featuring some of our Scouts ( if you scroll down theres an early post about being filmed by Dutch TV - that interview is online or will be soon )
 Keep checking, more later.
